The original image of Hill Cumorah in Palmyra shown here is more than 100 years old. At that time, as indicated by the fences and treeless slopes, the hill was used for agricultural purposes. Today it is owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A visitor's center is now located at the base of the hill and a statue of the Angel Moroni is located near the top.
